Frequently asked questions
Straight answers before the first conversation.
Here are straightforward answers to common questions about Koelle’s services, working approach and delivery arrangements. Exact arrangements are agreed for each engagement.
Services
What Koelle can help with
Do you only build software that uses AI?
No. Koelle builds ordinary and AI-enabled software. AI is part of how we work: we have used these tools since they were still widely treated as an interesting idea rather than a dependable way to deliver software. Today, they help us explore, design, build, review code and create tests more quickly. The software itself only uses AI when it is genuinely useful to the people using it.
Can you work with an existing product, codebase or prototype?
Yes. We first look at what already exists and what it is meant to do. Then we explain what can stay, what needs repair, what should be rebuilt or replaced, and whether further investment makes sense. If recovery is sensible, we can carry out the agreed repair or rebuilding work.
Delivery and AI
How the work is approached
How do you use AI during development?
We use AI to help us move faster and check the work as we go. It can help with research, design options, code, code review, tests, documentation and finding missing or inconsistent behaviour. People still decide what should be built, judge the results and decide what is ready to use.
How quickly can the work move?
By quickly getting to grips with how your work actually operates—and using AI throughout delivery—we can typically design and build dependable software in around one-fourth to one-half of the usual time, reducing delivery time by approximately 50–75%. Actual timing depends on the problem, scope and decisions involved, so we confirm it after understanding the work.
What happens after the first conversation?
If Koelle appears to be a sensible fit, we agree any deeper discovery, assessment or delivery work before it begins. The first job may be to understand the problem properly, examine existing software, test whether something is ready or begin a clearly defined build.
Working arrangements
Ownership, partners and support
Can Koelle work with agencies and delivery partners?
Koelle can also support agencies and delivery partners with focused development, software rescue or quality work. Working arrangements are agreed case by case.
How are confidentiality, non-disclosure, IP ownership and handover handled?
Customers normally receive the code and project materials created specifically for their engagement. Confidentiality, non-disclosure arrangements, intellectual-property ownership and handover are agreed before work begins. Third-party and reusable components retain their existing licences and ownership.
Is ongoing support available after delivery?
Ongoing support and maintenance are available when separately agreed. Every handover explains what is complete, what remains and who is responsible afterwards.
